system boot

during post i get the message that "cannot find os" the system will only boot up if the instalation disk is in the first cd drive. Any one have a solution

Clean install or upgrade? Dual-boot or Vista only, What Vista build? Was Vista running before this or not?

This seems to be the fourth thread for the same problem by the same person who had the same question adequately answered in the first three threads.
